This is why we need NATIONAL gun regulation.  No amount of municipal or state gun regulation will prevent weapons trafficking as the  US Constitution allows for free movement among the states.  It’s a six-hour drive from Connecticut to Virginia where right-wing extremists are powerful  enough to keep the laws on firearms lax to non-existent.  Congress needs to take action on consistent federal regulation of handguns and assault weapons.
