No, the problem is that Rep. Malia and the bridge supporters have a myopic focus on cars. They forget the fact that bicyclists might actually want to use the road too, that pedestrians would rather cross a street to the park than walk under a bridge, and that we have the chance to finally knit back together the fabric of a reawakening neighborhood.
